How do I Apply for a 18-22 Discount Card?

Save 15% on TravelMaster tickets until your 23rd birthday. Simply register your 18-22 Discount Card or 18-21 Zoom Beyond Travel Pass to your TravelMaster app account to start enjoying the savings. If you need to apply for an 18-22 Discount Card, please follow the guide below.

To apply for an 18-22 Discount Card, you’ll need to have proof of your date of birth, a PNG or JPEG photo of yourself, and an online TravelMaster account.

Step 1: Proof of Date of Birth

To verify your age, you can provide one of the following:

• UK Passport

Use the 28-character identifier found on the bottom line of your passport (e.g., 1041211587GBR0205169F1604120).

• UK Driving Licence

Your full or provisional licence number.

• Birth Certificate

If you are using a birth certificate as proof of identity, please email a scanned copy or image to ageverification@sytravelmaster.com.

• Passports or Driving Licences from Other UK Regions

If your document was issued in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland, please email a scanned copy or image to ageverification@sytravelmaster.com.

• Passports or Driving Licences from Outside the UK

If you are using identification issued by another country, please email a scanned copy or image to ageverification@sytravelmaster.com.

Step 2: A passport-style photo (clear head and shoulders, against a plain background)

• Your face should fill ¾ of the photo. You must be facing forward.
• No hats, sunglasses or half selfies - we need to see your full face (except for glasses or for religious or medical reasons).
• No group pictures.
• Please keep your clothes on - yes, people do send topless photos. 
• Not too dark, no one else in the picture and no full body photos.
• Unaltered by computer software (e.g. SnapChat/Instagram filters).

Step 3: How to Create an Online TravelMaster Account

Visit retail.sytravelmaster.com and click APPLY NOW. Enter your details and provide your UK proof of date of birth if that’s the document you’re using.

Once you’ve completed registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email. This email will ask you to send the following to ageverification@sytravelmaster.com:

• A passport-style photo (clear head and shoulders, plain background).
• If you’re applying with proof of birth from other UK regions or non-UK identification, include a scanned copy or image of that document in the same email.

If your application meets our requirements, we’ll process it and your personalised 18–22 Discount Card will be delivered within 10 working days.
